I'm not sure exactly what piece or hardware you mean here. I'm assuming you
mean something like this:

I'm not specifically recommending this, just using it for clarification. In
any case, if the dock uses USB to connect to the computer there's a very
good chance its supported in Linux. I would work just like a USB thumbdrive
or external hard drive. In fact if they dock says it works with both windows
and Mac OS its almost certain it will work with Linux.
