Does anyone have any experience with the formatting process on those rather large USB, HDDs? A friend supplied the code needed to reformat from the standard FAT 32 to NTFS, which I believe to be even more useful for modern purposes.
Is this advisable, that is to change the standard format on those USB, HDDs, to ntfs? I use Linux Mint exclusively for generating the files that would go on the USB HDDs, but I would like those windows people that I know to be able to plug my USB, HDD into their XP systems if it should be required. In particular, I am interested in keeping the auto-run/mount feature that comes on these USB, HDDs, so the mount and Konqueror display windows still come up automatically.
