All,
In my 26mm Q-70 I can squeeze UGC-7534 (mag. 14.5), NGC-4364 (mag. 14.2), NGC-4335 (mag. 13.4), NGC-4284 (mag. 14.3), and NGC-4290 (mag. 12.7) all in the same field next to M-40. Now, whether I can actually see all of them tomorrow night, with even just a sliver of moon up, will be a challenge. We'll see.

All,
It has been raining for the past couple of days. The forecast for today through Sunday is rain.
It looks almost certain that there will not be any observing in western North Carolina this weekend.
Reminder:
When you are observing M-40 it would be interesting to know if anyone can see NGC-4284 (mag 14.7) and brighter galaxy NGC-4290. All will fit nicely in a 0.50° FOV.
It will be doubtful that you will be able to see N-4284 with less than 150x. I have always had such an interest in these two faint galaxies.

All,
For those of you that are not going to make it to Arizona for the Messier Marathon, is anyone out there interested in going to Redstone tomorrow (Friday) night?
