Matt,

Thank you for taking the time to send me this information. I am going to review your link at this very moment.

Please read my response to Rob, regarding the "ptential" problem at very cold temperatures.

Have you ever had a problem at lower temps?

Roger

I have a Celestron zoom. Its just OK. Its useful in a pinch, but FOV and clarity are not so great.

the Baader clickstop zoom for 215$ is pretty much the best out there from my reading. Many claim its just as good as a prime eyepiece at the higher power end.

there is a long thread regarding the zoom here:http://www.cloudynights.com/ubbthreads/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/3432104/page/0/view/collapsed/sb/5/o/all/fpart/1/vc/1

All,

I have always been curious about the quality of a zoom EP. Any experience with one? Do they work to a satisfactory level?
