It's not the price that's the problem, it's the implication that 
these are portable.  The 50" mirror is probably 800 pounds.  Yeah, it 
will fit in my van, but where to I put the forklift?

I doubt anyone would want to put one of these in a fixed observatory; 
the structure is not that enduring.
