Subject: [LVAS] LVAS Contributor Addendum

All,

I sent an e-mail yesterday with the name and a picture of all the contributors from this region. I inadvertently left off Paul Webb. I do not have a current picture but he is shown on the LVAS Observers Challenge list, standing beside his observatory mounted C-14.

Paul was the founder of the Cleveland County Astronomical Society, and he gave me my look through an 8-inch Schmidt-Cassegrain scope back in 1985.

Please go to www.machunter.org and see Pauls observatory in South Carolina. Paul at current lives in Columbia. Just can't say enough good things about Paul. I would call him a used telescope broker as he seems to always have an Astro-Physics refractor and an AP mount for sale, as well as many others.

Paul has had some illness in his family this past year and has been unable to do very much observing. His daughter became ill shortly after he made his first contribution to the observers challenge in the Spring of last year.

A few more pictures.

1. Tom English giving me more personal instruction after 20 years.
2. Hand painted sign for our first dark site (1985) at the end of a country grass runway.
3. I took this picture of the old sign a couple of years ago. Still standing, looks the same.
