[LVAS] Observing Last Night

Did anyone make it out to Redstone or elsewhere last night? Or did you
decide early to give it up?

We had about 200 people at Red Rock last night. The Ranger lost count
at 85 in the standing room only presentation. We did fight partially
cloudy skies until we were almost completely overcast after 9:00. And
then wouldn't you know it; as soon as the last piece of equipment was
back in the Expedition, the sky mostly cleared, but there were other
clouds building and moving in.

The public got to see a good number of celestial objects though. I was
able to show them M2, M16, M17, M27, M51, M82, and M101 before the
clouds closed us out. So with what other members were showing them, I
know they got a good mix of objects to view. Overall, a good night with
the public. Thanks to the 12 or so members that came out with their
scopes to help. I know I would leave someone out if I tried to name
everyone, but thanks again.

Take care, hope to see you at Cathedral Gorge next weekend.

Rob
