I can't wait to get out this weekend at Redstone and try it myself, if it doesn't rise too late.

Sorry to give the wrong impression. Camp Lee Canyon is at 8200 feet, a cold front had just blown through, the skies were quite dark, and M13 was some 40 or 50 degrees above the horizon. The trees were in the way because this was a mountain camp, and you know how tall those trees can be. So conditions were actually pretty good.

You should not have any trouble with a 10 inch scope. Just get a good, dark sky behind M13.

Pretty amazing considering your conditions and low altitude. This has got to be a record. Imagine the view at a true dark site with this object on the meridan.

This gives me hope that I might be able to see with my 10-inch...however I am going to try to have at least a 12-inch handy.
