I've got a 40-year old mount on a 3-footed steel post (puts mount
about 2.5 feet off the ground) from Edmund Scientific. The clock
drive is shot, and taking it apart to replace grease wouldn't hurt,
but it's a solid equatorial for anything up through a 10 inch
newtonian. Originally required two mounting bolts in the newtonian
tube. Edmund Scientific later sold a kit that placed straps on the
mount, so any tube could be quickly mounted/dismounted. The straps
have seen better days (wherever they may be), but replacing should be
fairly straightforward.

I can send you a picture, if you're interested.

Oh, and you can have it for free. I'm in northwest Vegas (Hwy 95 @ Durango)
