LVAS all,
 
Tom English sent me an e-mail yesterday. He is hopeful that we will
select Sirius and the companion to be the "observers challenge" for
either January or February. We may get a lot of participation on this
one. It would be pretty simple...can you see "The Pup". 
 
This would put anyone who observes the faint companion in an elite
group of observers from the past. Very few present day observers have
seen "Sirius B".

Will it be possible? 
 
I have never tried in the past 25 years due to the close orbit of "B".
 
Jim saw it through the famous 30-inch refractor at the Alleghany
Observer in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania back in the 60's.   
 
Should we tentatively "pencil" this one in?
