Guys,
I took my scopes on vacation to Alabama. I had forgotten what 'Bama
humidity was like. I don't know how amateur astronomers do it down
South. The humidity was so high that even on a clear night, the moon
had a thick ring around it. Even a 1st Quarter Moon lit up the entire
sky and wiped out everything but the Moon, Saturn and a few stars.
There weren't even enough stars to locate a deep sky object, much less
to observe one. Any thoughts about moving back to Alabama perished this
past weekend. I enjoy my astronomy too much to be limited by the
weather of the South. I'll be staying in the West.
Looking forward to the next two weekends at Kaibab Lodge and Great Basin.
Talk to you later.
Rob
