[Lvas] First Light!

Well, First Light during my custody...

Having decided not to go out somewhere for observing tonight (which I 
will probably regret), I brought the club's 24" scope out onto the 
street in front of my house.  I got a look at the moon, Saturn, Vega, 
Albireo, Ring Nebula, Whirlpool Galaxy, and Polaris.  I tried for M13 
- have you ever tried to move a 24" truss dob pointed almost straight 
up, from the top of a 6 foot ladder?

I can't seem to get the silly thing collimated.  I've used a laser 
several times, and tried by naked eye just for the hell of it.  Stars 
are elongated, but pretty much the same all around the eyepiece 
field.  If anyone has a suggestion, let me know.
