[Lvas] refurbishing telescope

Thomm,

I can't really answer the first part of your inquiry since I've never 
refurbished a telescope, but hopefully you'll get an answer from someone 
in the group.  What besides the focuser are you wanting to refurbish?  
The focuser may be fairly easy to replace unless you have to cut a 
larger hole in the tube to accommodate 1.25-inch eyepieces.

As for joining the club, just go to the "About LVAS" menu item on the 
LVAS Home Page and there's an article in the left column that has the 
information you're looking for along with a link to the Application 
Form.  Either send the form with dues to John Heller at the address 
indicated or bring the form with you to the next Club meeting on 6 August.
