[Lvas] Redstone Tonight?

Well, those of you that decided early to not go out tonight were the
wiser of the bunch. We set up at Sandstone and saw enough stars to
align - some got to see Saturn before it disappeared in the clouds - and
that was it. Waited until a little after 10:00 for the clouds to break.
Lightning started to flash all around us, so we packed up and it started
raining just as we were putting the last items of equipment in our
cars. Some decided to stay and watch the lightning and check out some
developing breaks in the clouds. As I pulled off the Scenic Drive onto
the main road back into town, I stopped and looked up - the breaks were
gone and the sky was completely clouded over. Glad I left when I did.

Some of the guys are going to Armagosa Valley next weekend. May try to
make it with them, since I haven't done my Observer's Challenge Object
for this month.

Will have some suggestions for future Challenge Objects for you to
consider probably tomorrow.

Take care.

Rob
