This is a six book collection and I will bring it up to the board.  My personal feelings are I believe books should be used and these are not.  Do you have any idea of their value?  This is not for us to sell because I normaly start out as a donation level to the right person.  Time will tell.

LVAS,

In looking at some of your old newsletters I noticed a most interesting article. LVAS past President Jim Mellor donated his collection of astronomy reference books to the club. One of those books was The Observing Handbook and Catalog of Deep-Sky Objects by Brian Skiff and Christian Luginbuhl. I quote from this book very often.

It is my opinion that this is the greatest deep-sky reference books ever written...period, not arbitrary. It is currently out of print and is very difficult to obtain.
I know of two University astronomy professors in different parts of the state currently looking for a copy. If you want to improve your visual acuity and become an advanced observer to the absolute highest level...use this book.

Are you interested in selling this book for a premium price, as I will be asked?

Roger
