Your very welcome. Weather has been spotty here for the last 10 days or
so. Waiting for some stable air.

Fred,
Since you have already seen all nine with your 16-inch do you plan on
observing them again this month. I am planning on leaving my backyard to
attempt again after ten years. I am going to a darksite about 10 minutes
from my house.
I personally am aware of only four people that have visually seen them
all...you being one of them. I am sure there are probably many others. I
am just not aware of their accomplishments.
Jim, thanks again for the image. I forwarded the ID to our local group
and also to the Charlotte Amateurs.
Be sure to consider the Virgo diamond also. Hopefully S&T will do an
article on this object next spring. If I get the opportunity to write
the article I will need information from others and a variety of scopes.
Hey guys, its 10:00 and I'm heading to bed.
Roger

earth and be an atheist, but I cannot conceive how he could look up into
the heavens and say there is no God. Abraham Lincoln

LVAS all,
To be used as a field chart for galaxy identification.
I scanned Jim Gianoulakis's image of the Virgo cluster and wrote the
Galaxy number and magnitude with a white charcoal pencil.
Hope this will be helpful if you should decide to observe this months
observing project...which is centered on M-86.
Nine galaxies in a 1* FOV. Definitely one of my favorite galaxy groups.
How many will you be able to see????
Thanks Jim for allowing me to use your image for this purpose.
Good luck...Roger Ivester
