Rob,
What a noble effort. All things seem to always work out. Maybe it was for the best as your dark site efforts will prove to be superior. If S&T should use your image somewhere in the near future or otherwise I feel sure that you would want only your best.
Your enthusiasm is obvious but I feel somewhat bad for your being outside so late with your wife in the hospital. It's good that you realize that there are more important things in life than astronomy. Rob, you guys are just the greatest, and I am fortunate to have been able to have found the LVAS. Thank you also for accepting me as a corresponding member.
If not for our "observing project" my notes and files of the "Virgo Diamond" would still be in storage on a shelf. If there is ever a story this fact will be made known.
We will pray for both you and your wife in our Sunday School class this morning at Beaver Dam Baptist Church. The location is between Boiling Springs and Shelby North Carolina.
Rob, thanks again. I will keep everyone informed as to the success or failures of others last night.
Time of this writing 5:55 AM Sunday; eastern time.
Best regards, roger
