[Lvas] Imaging Tonight?

LVAS all,

 

Just talked with Dr. Don Olive at the coffee shop a few minutes ago. GWU buys time on several robotic telescopes. 

 

One is in New Mexico and the other is in Australia, there may be more. He is going to try to get an image of the "Diamond" on both of these scopes. It should be noted that this is not the same as an image from an amateur and is not normally near as good.

 

He mentioned to me that Jim Dire is going to try to image tonight from his home here in North Carolina. I'm surprised that he had not told me. It's not looking good...the clouds are beginning to roll in.

 

I am so glad that I was able to go out last night for all of my "Visual" work.

 

Good luck, Jim and Rob I will be thrilled to see an e-mail tomorrow with the "Virgo Diamond" ...ready to be forwarded.
