[Lvas] Technical Question for Newtonian/Dob

This link www.cloudynights.com/documents/paracorr.pdf talks about the
"tunable top", and explains that it is used to adjust the position of
the eyepiece. The implication is that the optics that do the work
are below it, so the device could be used without the tunable top. It
may be that the instructions were written for an older device that
did not have the easy-to-use top (you had to turn/adjust the height
of the eyepiece yourself?)
