Hi Folks,
I'm planning to broadcast my observing session from in front of my house
Saturday night, 6 December, on SparkCast. If you are interested in
participating, you can download SparkCast free from www.teevee.com. You
donot have to join anything to just observe, but if you want to chat you'll
have to create an account and login. Again, that too is free. After
starting SparkCast, look for a Program on the Channel Listing entitled "Live
Astronomy from Vegas". It should be readily apparent when SparkCast starts
up. Just double click on the representative icon and you should be good to
go. Again, if you want to chat with me and others on my channel, you'll
need to login. I plan to begin the broadcast at 7:00pm PST and will
continue until I either get tired or everyone else has left.
Just be aware that the live images may lag a little behind especially if I'm
using longer integrations and since some systems may require buffering of
the video stream. Just be patient and ask me what's going on if you don't
see something happening for a while.
John Boron is planning to personnally join me at my house for this observing
session with my MallinCam. I'll try to make the evening interesting by
showing you some objects that you normally wouldn't think we could observe
from deep within the light pollution of Las Vegas.
See you tomorrow night.
